• Temperatures higher than 125 ̊C (257 ̊F) or lower than -40 ̊C (-22 ̊F) will damage the sensor.
  • This Temperature sensor is NOT recommended for use with laboratory chemicals.
  • Do NOT put any part of the sensor into a direct flame or onto a hot plate.
  • The total length of PVC cable and thermistor wire is approximately 39 cm. It is made up of about 17 cm of PVC cable, approx. 3.5 mm diameter, with approx. 4 cm of heat shrink tubing linking the cable to the thermistor wire. The length of thermistor wire and bead is approx. 18 cm long, with a diameter of approx. 2 mm.
  • The electronics in the Smart Wireless module of the sensor have a working range of 0 to 40 ̊C. Position the sensor so that this part of the sensor is kept away from the source of heat. Take steps to protect against excessive steam.
  • The Smart Wireless module is not waterproof; it has an operating range of 0 to 95% RH (non- condensing). Do not place the sensor in an environment in which high humidity levels are possible, as this may result in damage or malfunction.
  • Do not submerge the sensor. Clean the Smart Wireless module using a damp cloth; do not immerse in water or detergent.
  • If the sensor has been left in the cold, let it warm to near room temperature before waking it from sleep.
