The diagram below shows the specific parts of the sensor. Read further to explore the functionality of each part of the sensor.

  1. Load connection point
  2. Finger grips
  3. Mounting point
  4. Status Indicator
  5. On/Off Switch
  6. USB Port
  7. Unique ID Number

Load connection point (1)

This is a threaded hole into the aluminium load cell. It has a thread size of 3mm. Care needs to be taken when screwing rings, hooks, buffers into the load cell so that the thread does not go through the cell and connect to the far side of the cell, locking it in position. Only screw any attachment in for a distance that gives the attachment a good grip into the cell. Typically, this would be no more than 5mm.

When you use the supplied hook / ring a white threaded lock washer is supplied to prevent over insertion.

Finger grips (2)

For use if holding loads from your hands or pulling and pushing the sensor against objects.

Mounting point (3)

Typically this would be used to hold the force sensor onto a rod (for example a rod connected to a mounting boss on a ring stand)

The Status Indicators (4)

The sensor features a single status indicator that changes colour and flashes. See the table below for further information.

USB Port (6)

Use to connect to a computer or a charging unit.

For specific USB or Bluetooth connectivity instructions, please see the 'Connectivity' section of this documentation.

For instructions on charging your device, see the section on 'Charging the Sensor'.

Unique ID Number (7)

All Smart Wireless Sensors are labelled with a unique ID number. This number is used in the EasySense2 app, so that you can identify each sensor when making a connection wirelessly.
