Practical Investigations
The Smart Wireless Rotary Motion Sensor can be used to investigate a number of scientific experiments such as:
- Study of amplitude vs period of a pendulum
- Study of length vs. period of a pendulum
- Study of Mass of pendulum bob vs. period.
- Angular momentum
- SHM – displacement > velocity > acceleration.
- Atwoods machine.
- Newtons 2nd law
- Distance moved (e.g. using kinetics trolley)
- Movement of a water spirometer.
- Distance moved by another sensor.
When used with the optional Rotary Motion Accessory Kit
- Conservation of angular momentum
- Moments of inertia
- Rotational inertia
