3.2 The Toolbar

The EasySense2 toolbar provides access to the main functions required to set up, collect, analyse, and manage experimental data. The options available are:
Devices: Connect to a data logger or Smart Sensor and configure the connected device.
Home: Return to the Home screen, which provides access to the main application functions and guidance for setting up an experiment.
File: Open and save data files, merge data with a saved file, retrieve data from a device, and clear all data to start a new laboratory session.
Share: Share data with another EasySense2 application, allowing another workstation to be used as a device.
Tools: Access analysis tools for working with collected data, including Values, Difference, Gradient, Area, and Crosshair.
Runs: Manage the individual sets of data collected during an experiment. Each time data is logged, a new run is created. Runs are identified by their date and time and can be displayed or hidden as required.
Layout: Define how data is presented in the workspace, including the number and arrangement of display panels.
Calculate: Create or modify data series using calculations such as offset correction, least-squares fitting, and area calculations.
Smoothing: Apply a noise-reduction filter to collected data.
Settings: Access application settings and information, including toolbar position, application version, graph line thickness, and other display and operational controls.
The toolbar options are explored in greater detail in Section Six of this guide.
